Bubble Tea is one of the most popular refreshing drinks of recent years. And no wonder, it’s popular! It can be tailored to suit all tastes, with a variety of flavours to satisfy even the most demanding palates. Why not try our version, made with some exceptional coffee? Simply follow the easy recipe steps and enjoy!

WHAT IS BUBBLE TEA?

Bubble Tea, also known as Boba tea, originated in Taiwan in the town of Taichung during the early 1980s. It is traditionally prepared with cool black or green tea, milk, and tapioca pearls. Bubble Tea is very popular in several Asian countries, and has recently appeared and become increasingly popular in the United States and many Western countries.

The drink is available in a variety of flavours to suit everyone’s tastes and desires. Both the tea and the tapioca can be customised! Flavoured powders, such as taro or chai can also be used to add certain flavours. It is very common in Western countries for Tapioca pearls to be replaced with fruity-flavoured beads.

MaxiCoffee’s Special Tricks for Extra Deliciousness

You can find tapioca pearls in specialist shops. However, be careful when cooking them: in some cases, you may need to cook the pearls for up to 6 hours! Don’t hesitate to replace the milk (whole and sweetened condensed) with coconut milk for a lighter, plant-based version.
