It was first brought to Europe by the Dutch in the 17th century.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These days, the infusion of<\/span><b> tea leaves<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in water, above all in the form of <\/span><b>black tea<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maxicoffee.com\/en-gb\/tea-c-57\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">one of the most consumed drinks in the world<\/a>.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For their part, the <\/span><b>Japanese <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are by far the biggest consumers of <\/span><b>green tea<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For many of us, tea is a <\/span><b>relaxing <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>sociable<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> drink. More often than not, <\/span><b>infusions <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of natural teas present very recognisable tasting notes (in terms of both aroma and flavour). And <\/span><b>aromatic strength<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>body <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>tannin levels<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are actually all determined by several different factors related to the provenance of the tea: terroir, altitude, soil, climate, country and oxidation method.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Types of tea<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More often than not, black tea (which is completely oxidised) offers a very <\/span><b>full-bodied infusion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in comparison with green tea (slightly oxidised), which has more <\/span><b>vegetal notes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and a slight <\/span><b>astringency<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Oolong tea (semi-fermented) is <\/span><b>full of body<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and presents a hint of <\/span><b>chestnut <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on the palate. Therefore, if a field has been treated with pesticide, it stands to reason that there may be traces of it in your drink.
